Dash cam footage sought after fatal M25 collision
Motorists are being urged to double check dashboard cameras as part of a renewed appeal by officers investigating a fatal collision on the M25.
On Friday 16 August 2019, at around 3.25pm, a grey Suzuki Swift was travelling on the motorway at Junction 5 near Chevening.
The car was heading in the direction of the A21 south-bound when it came off the road and collided with a fence.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene by ambulance crews.
Possible unseen footage
Detective Sergeant Lynn Lewis of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: ‘We are working hard to establish the full circumstances of this collision, which tragically led to both the deaths of a young woman and her unborn child.’
‘We believe there may be motorists who have important footage on their vehicle dash cams, who have yet to contact us. This could include those traveling in the opposite direction of the M25 and who may not have even noticed the collision. I would urge anyone who uses this route to double check any cameras they may have and to contact us if they can assist our investigation.’
