Court appearance for Canterbury man following theft and driving offences

A man is to appear in court charged with driving offences, theft and going equipped for theft in Canterbury.
 
Steven Field, 29, of Shaftesbury Road in Canterbury was stopped by police on the A28 and arrested on Tuesday 4 June 2019. He was charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance or a licence and going equipped for theft. Officers' seized a small hammer, crowbar, screwdrivers and rubber gloves during his arrest.

He also faces a charge of theft from a motor vehicle after a satellite navigation system and mobile phone was reported stolen from a car parked in a car park in Canterbury on Sunday 5 May 2019.
 
Mr Field appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 5 June 2019 where he was released on bail. He is next due to appear at Margate Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 20 June 2019.
